Apple’s slimmest iPhone to date was the iPhone 6, measuring 5.9mm in thickness. However, the iPhone 17 Air is rumored to be even thinner, coming in at 5.5mm, setting a new record for the iPhone series.
To put this into perspective, Apple’s thinnest device overall is currently the 13-inch OLED iPad Pro, which measures 5.1mm in thickness.
The iPhone 17 Air isn’t just about thinness—it also introduces a refreshed design philosophy. The most striking change is the camera bar on the back, a feature expected to be included in the Pro models as well.
