Tesla’s crisis deepens: The lowest delivery numbers in history could be on the horizon

As one of the leading names in the electric vehicle market, Tesla is struggling to reverse its downward trend. The company’s upcoming production and sales data are expected to confirm this negative trajectory.

Forecasts suggest that Tesla may record the lowest delivery numbers in the past two years in the first quarter of 2025. It is estimated that around 359,000 vehicles will be delivered during this period, marking a 7% decline compared to the same period last year and a sharp 27% drop from the previous quarter. The last time Tesla delivered such a low volume was in the third quarter of 2022.

Financial forecasting platforms and investment markets are paying close attention to Tesla’s delivery numbers. Prediction platforms, which provide insights across various industries, have recently shifted their focus more towards the business sector. One of the largest platforms in this space, Kalshi, has seen transaction volumes exceeding half a million dollars related to Tesla’s performance this quarter.

Tesla’s regional sales data reveal significant discrepancies. In Europe, sales have plummeted by nearly 50% compared to previous quarters, while in China, the decline has been more modest on a year-over-year basis. However, the biggest uncertainty lies in the U.S. market, where Tesla’s total delivery numbers will be largely determined.

This sharp decline is raising serious concerns among Tesla investors. The company may need to develop a new strategy to boost global demand and optimize its production processes. In the coming weeks, all eyes will be on Tesla as investors closely monitor the company’s response to this crisis.
