iOS 19: A semi-transparent interface and major changes ahead

Apple is gearing up for its annual Worldwide Developers Conference (WWDC), where it unveils its latest software updates and technological advancements. As WWDC 2025 approaches, new leaks about iOS 19's anticipated changes have surfaced. This update is expected to bring significant enhancements, particularly in the user interface.

According to Jon Prosser from Front Page Tech, who shared insights in his latest YouTube video, iOS 19 will introduce striking visual modifications. One of the most notable changes will be the incorporation of semi-transparent design elements, enhancing the user experience with a more modern and dynamic look. Prosser claims that various pop-up windows and UI components will reflect blurred background colors, creating a more aesthetically pleasing effect.

Additionally, the iPhone keyboard and the Messages app are rumored to adopt a semi-transparent design as well. However, Prosser dismissed earlier speculations about a transition to rounded app icons, stating that such claims are unfounded.

On the other hand, Bloomberg’s Mark Gurman suggests that the changes Apple will showcase at WWDC 2025 will be far more extensive than the leaks suggest. Gurman describes iOS 19 as a major update, while also confirming that it will retain some fundamental design and functionality aspects from iOS 18.

Apple has been working on integrating its AI-powered Apple Intelligence into the iOS ecosystem, facing challenges and mixed reactions from users. Given these circumstances, Apple’s approach to its comprehensive UI overhaul is generating significant curiosity.

While the full details of iOS 19 will be revealed at WWDC 2025, the prospect of a visually refreshed and more immersive experience is certainly exciting for Apple users.
