Samsung Galaxy S25 series breaks sales records

Samsung's latest flagship smartphone lineup, the Galaxy S25 series, has made a strong entrance into the market, achieving impressive sales figures. According to recent data, the Galaxy S25 series outsold the Galaxy S24 series by a factor of three in its first month.

Data shared by Jukanlosreve on X (formerly Twitter), citing Hana Securities, reveals that the Galaxy S25 series sold 4.56 million units in its debut month. In contrast, the Galaxy S24 series had reached only 1.42 million sales during the same period, marking a threefold increase. However, it’s worth noting that this figure includes pre-order sales.

Following the pre-order phase, daily sales figures saw a shift. While the Galaxy S24 series maintained a daily sales rate of 240,000 units, the Galaxy S25 series recorded a lower 180,000 units per day. This suggests that despite its strong initial performance, the S25 series is trailing behind its predecessor in sustained daily sales.

Breaking down the sales numbers by model, the Galaxy S25 Ultra emerged as the best-seller, with 2.55 million units sold. The standard Galaxy S25 model followed with 1.17 million units, while the S25 Plus variant reached 840,000 sales.

According to the report, Samsung sold a total of 19.03 million phones in February, reflecting a 3% decrease from January. However, on a year-over-year basis, sales increased by 15%.

Samsung had previously set a 2025 production target of 37 million units for the Galaxy S25 series, which is 2 million more than the projected sales of the Galaxy S24 series in 2024. While the initial sales figures appear promising, a more accurate measure of the series' success will be determined by the year-end results.
