The iPad Pro, one of the most renowned tablet series in the tech world, is set to receive a major upgrade. According to reports, Apple plans to begin mass production of the M5-powered iPad Pro before the end of this year.
Cupertino-based tech giant Apple continues to expand its iPad lineup, consistently integrating the latest innovations into its devices. Recently, the company introduced significant updates to the standard iPad and iPad Air models. Now, all eyes are on the iPad Pro—Apple’s top-tier tablet designed for professional users. Last year’s refreshed iPad Pro lineup may soon receive another upgrade, this time featuring Apple’s powerful M5 processor.
Last year, Apple made significant changes to the iPad Pro series, introducing the M4 chip and OLED display technology. Now, the company is preparing for another update. According to tech insider Mark Gurman, this upgrade will primarily enhance the internal specifications without making drastic design changes.
Gurman claims that Apple aims to make the iPad Pro one of the first devices to feature the M5 chip. The company has reportedly begun testing four new iPad Pro models, codenamed J817, J818, J820, and J821. If these reports hold true, mass production could commence in the second half of the year, with an official launch expected by year’s end.
Another intriguing revelation from Gurman is that Apple is already working on an M6-powered iPad Pro. According to him, this model will feature Apple’s next-generation C2 modem, offering enhanced connectivity options. However, there is currently no official information on when the M6-powered iPad Pro will hit the market.
As anticipation builds around Apple’s upcoming iPad Pro lineup, tech enthusiasts eagerly await further details, which are expected to emerge in the coming months.
