Dacia is preparing to make a significant impact on the European automotive market with its new SUV model, Bigster. The brand aims to strengthen its position by offering an affordable and spacious alternative. Bigster is set to challenge Dacia Sandero, which has been one of the best-selling models in Europe for years. According to the company’s CEO, Bigster will achieve this success with a price tag that significantly undercuts its competitors.
Starting Price Under €25,000 in Europe
The official launch of the Dacia Bigster is set for May, with the base model priced at €24,990. This entry-level version will feature a mild-hybrid powertrain, making it a more affordable option compared to many rivals in its segment.
For comparison, the Volkswagen T-Roc is currently available in Germany for around €27,000, while the Nissan Qashqai starts at approximately €34,100. This makes Bigster an attractive budget-friendly SUV alternative.
Trim Levels and Engine Options
The Dacia Bigster will be available in four trim levels: Essential, Expression, Journey, and Extreme. In Germany, customers will be able to choose from the following powertrain options:
- 140 hp mild-hybrid
- 130 hp 4x4 mild-hybrid
- 155 hp full-hybrid
These choices position the Bigster as an affordable, eco-friendly, and performance-oriented SUV.
With its competitive pricing, diverse engine options, and practical design, the Dacia Bigster is poised to set a new benchmark in the budget-friendly SUV segment. It’s an appealing option for European SUV enthusiasts looking for value without compromising on quality.
